Bishops Waltham, Fair Oak and Longparish overcame tricky first round ties to clinch a place in next week’s second phase Winchester & District Tichborne Trophy twenty20 competition.
Pete Boston and Richard Dadd each took 3-17 as Owslebury were restricted to 122-6 (Tim Richman 33, Robbie Craddock 32) – a total Bishops’ polished off with only one wicket down, Adam Wymbs hitting an unbeaten 40.
Greig Stewart hit an unbeaten 51 and Tom Hockenhull 47 as Fair Oak piled up 183-8 against Hursley Park.
Zimbabwean Bothwell Chapungu made an unbeaten 50 for HP, who fell well short at 122-8 (Arran Rowles 3-18).
Will Samways hit 39 not out and Will de Cani 37 as Longparish cruised home against Chawton (117-6).
