Hartley Wintney teenager Harry Broderick cracked a magnificent career best 147 to power Hampshire Under-18s towards an 87-run victory over their Middlesex counterparts in the ECB County Youth Cup at South Wilts.
Broderick, pictured, had been out of nick in recent matches, but burst back into form by hitting 15 fours and six maximums as Hampshire posted a formidable 376-5 before dismissing Middlesex for 289.
Tom Prest (55 not out), Charlie Mumford (49). James Barker (47) and Joe Eckland (44) also piled on the agony for Middlesex, who were put in a spin by Millfield leggie Kamran Khanna, who returned personal county best figures of 6-66. It was Hampshire's second group win after having thrashed Sussex by nine wickets last weekend.
