Felix Organ has finished the season as the ECB Southern Premier League’s leading run scorer. He top scored with 67 in the Hampshire Academy’s 43-run victory at relegated New Milton to lift his run tally to 843, which includes one century and seven scores of 50 or more. The Winchester based Organ eased the third-placed Academy to 94-2 before a middle-order tumble saw New Milton back in the game at 141-7 (Tom Scriven 33). But Canford prospect Tom Prest (34) and Sonny Reynolds (23) lifted the Hampshire youngsters to 200. Raff Hussey and Ryan Beck (24 eased Milton’s reply to 67-1 before a three-wicket spell by James Trodd (3-28) knocked them back. When Hussey (33) departed at 96-5, New Milton folded against the combined spin of Mom Abbas (3-17) and Organ (3-28), and were all out for 157. |
