New Zealander Terry Crabb followed up his opening day double century for Lymington seconds with an equally destructive innings of 156 which sent Alton crashing to a hefty 233-run defeat.
The 40-year old left-hander (pictured by Louise Flanagan) ran amok, hitting three sixes and 18 fours in a 121-ball stay at the crease.
“Terry hit the ball everywhere. It was a very classy knock, whilst also being very destructive,” said Lymington captain Simon Beetham.
Crabb, who has played provincial cricket for Auckland and subsequently or Denmark in the C & G Trophy, dominated a 143-run opening stand with Ryan Scott (50) before Richard Lock (23) joined him.
The fireworks really began when Hampshire prospect Calvin Dickinson piled on 71 and Ed Ellis chipped in with 35 not out.
Lymington’s towering 381-5 was the highest total ever posted at Alton’s Jubilee Ground.
Alton had beaten SPL champions Havant a week earlier, but the rolled over for 148 in reply, with former Northampton Saints batsman Dan Harris making 64.
