BRAMSHAW opener Tom Arnold plundered 94 to lift his 2022 Voneus Village Cup run aggregate to a staggering 365 from four knocks before the club's Hampshire county final was abandoned in the tenth over of Calmore Sports' reply.
But with the tie null and void and having to be replayed at Loperwood Park this Sunday (1300), Arnold will simply have to 'surrender' his 94 and restart on 267 !
He batted quite superbly, hitting two sixes and eight fours in his fourth successive Village Cup score, having made 82 (v Paultons), 111* (Easton & Martyr Worthy) and 74 at Sparsholt in the three previous rounds. Bramshaw were 179 all out and Calmore Sports 47-0 when the rains came.
The incentive for winning the Hampshire final is a home tie in the opening national round against fourth placed Home Counties Premier Division 2 side Oxford Downs on Sunday week, June 19.
