Asad Abbas produced a stunning individual performance with bat and ball as Fair Oak sentenced 2016 County Division 1 champions Alton II back to life back in the Hampshire League.
He came in at nine to make 64 and lift Oaks from an uncertain 110-7 to 249-9, more than doubling the total in productive late stands with Rhys Oxley (32), Ross Stewart (21) and Gregor McKenzie (26).
Abbas, pictured, then took the ball and wrecked the Alton top order with a 5-15 return, leaving the Brewers relegated at 98 all out.
To complete a splendid family day, 14-year old son Mo scored 14 late order runs before clean bowling Sam Thompson on his Hampshire Academy debut at Bashley (Rydal).
