Veteran Basingstoke & North Hants all-rounder Keith Harsham has been chosen to represent England Over Sixties on an upcoming 14-match tour to Australia, which will include three One Day International 50-over 'Ashes' matches.
Harsham, who fired Hampshire Seniors to the ECB 50-plus County Championship quarter-finals with a breathtaking 98* against Berkshire this summer, will play a key all-rounder role for England with his hard middle-order hitting and seam bowling.
He will certainly need to keep fit on an exhausting 31-day trip, in which the England team will play in Adelaide, Brisbane, Canberra, on the Gold Coast, and Northern New South Wales, Queensland, Sydney, and Tasmania.
"There are plenty of long coach journeys and a few internal flights, but the itinerary is superb, with seven warm-up games - the first against New Zealand - before we play Australia in three ODIs," Harsham smiled.
