Leaders Bashley (Rydal) have established a healthy 40-point lead at the top of the ECB Southern Premier Division after out-batting and later out-bowling Alton, whom they beat by 99 runs at the BCG.
Teenager Alex Turner (72) underpinned Bashley’s 288-6, while Dan Goodey and George Pardoe shared six of the wickets as Alton were dismissed for 189.
Turner shared partnerships with Tom Friend (58) and later George Pardoe (57) before Josh Digby (34) and George Wilson (24) put bat to ball and steered Bashley into a powerful position.
Alton fell to pieces against Dan Goodey (3-28), Pardoe (3-36) and Brad Currie (2-16) and were 37-5 before Scott Myers (38) launched any form of resistance.
Mark Heffernan went on to score 53 not out and Toby Salmon 32 before the Brewers were dismissed for 189.
