Bashley (Rydal) pair Alex Turner (left) and Patrick Lewis (centre) shared a 157-run partnership as Dorset Under-17s totalled 402-9 against an Isle of Wight CB side (bolstered by mainland players from Southern Premier League clubs) in the ECB County Championships Group 4B.
Turner looked in particularly good form, hitting two sixes and 14 fours in a career-best, while Lewis made a tidy 72 before Hamworthy Rec's Jacob Gordon (right) hit 91, including ten boundaries.
But on a Chapel Gate surface which produced a staggering 900 runs in two days, the visitors hit back with 498-5 - Lymington's Cam Robertson (168), OTs & Romsey all-rounder Jovan Dhariwal (103) and Dan Cox (102) all hitting hundreds - to secure a first innings victory.
