Basingstoke’s popular Guy Jewell & Cyril Thompson T20 knockout competitions are set to get underway on Monday and Thursday evenings at May’s Bounty.
The opening games in the Cyril Thompson Cup are due to be played next week, with St Mary’s and Yateley providing the curtain raiser on Monday May 17 and Chawton facing Aldermaston Rugby Clun three days later on May 20.
With lockdown easing, teams will be able to enjoy a refreshing pint in the clubhouse after the match.
The opening Guy Jewell Cup first round tie on Monday May 24 features host club Basingstoke & North Hants against Hook & Newnham Basics’ second team – a match the Bountymen can ill afford to lose to preserve self pride.
