Matt Hardy is due back as Calmore Sports open their Southern Premier League Division 1 championship defence in Ventnor’s Steephill bowl – a match that sees former Worcestershire pace bowler Chris Russell take the captaincy reins for the island hosts.
Hardy, whose 340 runs helped Calmore win SPL2 in 2016, spent last summer abroad.
Calmore Sports: Lavelle, Hardy, Johns, Manning, Taylor, Proudley, Rose, West, Newton, Wright, Bailey.
Relegated Andover have Hampshire 2nd XI all-rounder Asher Hart in their side at title favourites Bournemouth.
