South Wilts will expect to maintain or even extend their ten-point lead at the top of the ECB British Gas Southern Premier Division when New Milton send a weakened side to Bemerton, 1pm.
The Salisbury side regained its top-table berth when bottom-of-the-table Andover dismantled Lymington in spectacular style last weekend.
It gave the leader’s batten back to South Wilts, who field an unchanged side against the Green & Golds.
New Milton, skittled for 42 when the sides met in the opening Time pennant match in early June, are without key duo Lee Beck and Toby Edwards.
“We’re in a fight for our lives,” confesses Milton skipper Ryan Beck.
“We’ve got three second teamers playing tomorrow and have dragged 50-year old Steve Watts in to bolster our batting.”
New Milton lie third from bottom, but still have Andover left to play.
South Wilts: Wade, Cowley, Mynott, Holland, Draper, Hayward, Hibberd, Evans, Murray, Warner, Richards.
New Milton: R Beck, T Arnold, D Wakefield, O Shrubsole, R Hussey, D Loader, C Golding, G Watts, Haggaty, S Watts, Gargaro.
Second placed Bashley (Rydal) will have Surrey YCs prospect Brad Currie but not Middlesex pace bowler Tom Barber for the visit to St Cross Symondians pending news of Tom Barber’s availability.
Hampshire’s Joe Weatherley plays for St Cross, while Patrick Page will say his Bashley farewells, having scored 651 runs for the New Forest lub.
Left-hander Page returned to Adelaide next week to begin pre-season training with South Australia.
Bashley (Rydal): Porter, Thomson, Digby, Page, Morris, Watkins, S Ridley, Wilson, C Ridley, Saunders, Currie.
Havant, who trail Bashley by a solitary point, are without all-rounder Andy Gorvin for the visit to Burridge.
Havant: Walker, Ransley, Hopson, Stone, Gibson, Jerry, Matthews, Morgan, Prentice, Hindley, Bulled.
