Ben Walker has returned to Havant after a truncated three-year stay at Bashley (Rydal), where he collected a seventh ECB Southern Premier Division championship winners medal.
The 32-year old left-hander scored over 8,000 runs for Havant between 2006 and 2017 and played a lead role in the club celebrating a hat-trick of titles between 2007 and 2009, and further successes in 2011, 2016 and 2017.
But his stay at Bashley was ravaged by a serious Achilles injury and last season’s pandemic-shortened campaign. His 400 runs was significant in Bashley’s maiden 2019 title triumph. In all, Walker has scored ten hundreds and made 45 fifty-plus scores in Premier League cricket.
