Bournemouth were crowned Southern Premier League Division 1 champions after securing a 14th win in 17 outings, a 30-run victory over 2017 champions Calmore Sports.
It wasn’t an altogether convincing victory – Bournemouth being stuck in and reduced to 31-4 by Mike West (2-17) and Steve Wright (2-23).
Simon Woodruff (33) and Ed Denham (29) rallied, but Bournemouth were still 97-6 before Nick Park (50 not out) and Dom Clutterbuck (25) added what proved a decisive 73-runs to post a competitive 175-7.
Calmore proceeded to lose their wickets in clusters, but appeared to be in a promising position at 101-3 (George Woodhall 32).
But a three-wicket burst by Jake Hurley (3-20), aided by further strikes from Ed Denham (3-19), saw Calmore collapse to 145 all out.
