Alton lie rock bottom of the ECB Southern Premier League after suffering a fourth successive defeat by improving Lymington who, in turn, made it three wins on the spin with a 34-run victory.
Put into bat at the Jubilee Ground, Lymington lurched to 44-3 with the impressive Jude Wright striking twice, but led by Kamran Dhariwal (76) the visitors batted their way out if trouble. First he added 57 with Mo Abbas (41) and then 88 with Oxford University's Saqlain Choudhary (37).
The imposing Dhariwal thumped four sixes and six fours but when he became one of three dismissals by Tom South (3-34), Lymington's lower-order fell apart, the last six wickets falling for 26 runs, Bash Walters finishing with 4-34.
The Brewers had an awkward hour to negotiate before tea and were in trouble at 42-4, three wickets falling to Gareth Berg (3-19) and Dan Harris (34) dragging on to veteran Asad Abbas. Ben Rolfs (45) shared stands with Sam Ruffell (22) and Mark Heffernan (28), but Adelaide left-armer Liam Thompson (3-52) had the final word as Alton fell to 181 all out.
