Conor Browne cracked a superb unbeaten 96 as Langley Manor put a dent in St Cross Symondians’ seconds British Gas Southern League Division 2 promotion bid with a six-wicket win at Knellers Lane.
He hit two sixes and 14 fours and shared a significant 76-run stand with Steve Harris (39) after the Manor had slipped to 95-4 chasing a St Cross target of 177-9 scored off a rain trimmed 40 overs.
The St Cross total was built around Paul Hawkins (60), Dan Young (33) and Harry Foyle (30), with teenager Elliot Pointing taking 3-35 for the Manor.
