Hampshire Cricket has announced that, through a partnership with SCL, they are launching their own BTEC Level 3 in Sport course.
This fully funded programme is available for those students aged 16 and above as an alternative to the traditional college or sixth form route.
Alongside studying, students will be able to make the most of over 8 hours of cricket activities each week which will include first class training in the Ageas Bowl’s Indoor School, strength & conditioning in the state-of-the-art gym on-site, specialist fixtures against neighbouring colleges and further education establishments and various other opportunities to rub shoulders with the Hampshire professionals.
In addition to this exciting new programme, links have already been made with local universities to ensure that upon completion of the 2 year course, graduates will be in the best position to move into higher education.
The Ageas Bowl is hosting an Open Day on Friday 4 March 2016 between 1pm and 4pm for those interested to find out more about the course.
