Rob Budd, the retired Deanery and Calmore Sports cricketer, had to dig deep to buy the celebratory drinks after his two sons, Jack (left) and Will (right) had each scored a round 4 century for Langley Manor on the same afternoon !
Jack, who won the Southern Premier Division 3 batting prize last summer, made 123 as the Manor first team racked up 284 against Havant seconds, while Will (21) made an unbeaten 111 against Hampshire League Division 3 South rivals New Milton. The Manor won both games.
"It turned into a pretty expensive afternoon," laughed Rob Budd. "But it was a very special family moment. Hundreds don't come along every day, but when your two lads each make a century on the same day, then that really is something."
