Burridge are Hampshire’s new indoor sixes cricket champions.
They carried off the county trophy for the first time – and ended Sarisbury Athletic’s reign as ECB national champions – with two convincing displays in the Ageas Bowl finals.
Having beaten Waterlooville in the semi-finals, they thrashed Sarisbury Athletic by 54 runs to clinch a place in the upcoming ECB qualifiers.
Dan Hewitt (36) and Marc Campopiano (28) top scored as Burridge posted 135-3 against the Ville, who were dismissed for 121, Jon Hudson making 32.
Sarisbury Athletic, fielding only one of the side which was crowned national sixes champions at Lord’s last March, trimmed Longparish by 34 runs in the second semi-final.
But were no match for Burridge in the county final, Campopiano’s unbeaten 40 powering his side to 145-3 against Sarisbury’s modest 91-4.
