Burridge have pulled off a marquee signing in left-hand all-rounder Will Donald, who has moved to the area after skippering Whitby in the North Yorkshire & South Durham League.
The 22-year old Newcastle University graduate topped the NY & SD League Division 1 batting charts last season with 649 runs, including one century and five fifty-plus scores.
He also featured in the top ten bowling averages, taking 39 wickets with his left-arm spin for Whitby, who finished fourth in Division 1, the league below the main ECB competition.
In all, Donald has made 3385 league runs for the Yorkshire seaside town club - two hundreds and 18 fifties – and taken 269 wickets, including nine five-wicket hauls.
In normal circumstances, Donald would have been looking forward to making his Burridge debut in today’s match at Alton, but all ECB Southern Premier League games, along with all cricket in the country, is currently suspended due to the on-going coronavirus crisis.
Pace bowler Oli Southon has returned to Burridge, having spent last summer with the Hampshire Academy. He spent the winter on Queensland’s Gold Coast.
