Bashley (Rydal) teenager George Pardoe hit a double century in Hampshire Under-17s run laden first innings victory over Somerset YCs in the three-day ECB County Championship at Totton & Eling's Southern Gardens.
Pardoe hit a six and 35 fours in a career-best 202 as Hampshire piled up a massive 662 after bowling Somerset out for 395. Several weeks ago in his last match at Totton, Pardoe hit 93 and 111 against Gloucestershire YCs.
Hampshire's batsmen revelled on a docile surface, with George Metzger (80) and lower order trio Oli Southon (74), Abhay Gonella (56) and Will Lucas, with 54 not out, all cashing in.
Hampshire went for an outright win, but Somerset played out time, with 268-8 in their second innings.
