CALMORE KEEP CLOSE EYE ON CHAPEL GATE DUEL

Calmore Sports can be excused if their minds wander towards the events unfolding alongside Bournemouth’s Hurn International Airport.
That’s where ring rusty Bournemouth face Basingstoke & North Hants in a match critical to Calmore’s British Gas Southern League Division 1 title prospects.
Calmore travel to the Isle of Wight to play Ventnor with an unexpected 15-point lead tucked under their belts.  That’s as a result of Basingstoke conceding second place with a totally unexpected defeat by Rowledge in front of their own May’s Bounty followers last week.  Calmore have injury doubts over all-rounders Mike West and James Rose.
Calmore Sports: Lavelle, Perry, Cook, Johns, Manning, Rutter, Proudley, Rose, Pegler, West, Newton, Croft.
Basingstoke look to bounce back from the Rowledge upset against a Bournemouth side that’s hasn’t picked up a bat in the past three weeks.
Their recent matches against Hook & Newnham Basics, Calmore Sports and Liphook & Ripsley have all been washed out.
Basingstoke: Stokes, Metzger, Belcher, Froud, Phillips, Vinn, M Harsham, Griffiths, Jolley, James, A Neal.
Fourth placed Hook are still in with a shout, but need a win at Sarisbury Athletic to boost their claims.
Matt Journeaux plays his last Sarisbury game for 12 months before commencing a teaching appointment in the Emirates.  He hands the captain’s armband across to in-form Ricky Rawlins.
Sarisbury Athletic: Journeaux, Rawlins, Floyd, Mills, Sole, J Hill, Wright, Sampson, Freemantle, S Hill, Jewell.
Rowledge are without the influential Steve Martin for their vital relegation game against Portsmouth, but Nick Morant and Ricky Yates are back.  Australia-bound left-arm spinner Andrew Marston misses out for Portsmouth.
Rowledge: Wish, J Wish, Morant, Treble, Plater, Lloyd, Metcalfe, R Yates, Randall, C Yates, Keeley.
