Cadnam Matt Hardy, who wrote himself into the Hampshire League’s Hall of Fame last season, has decided to try his hand at Southern Premier League cricket with Calmore Sports this summer. In 2015, he became the ninth player in the HCL’s 40-year history to score over 1,000 runs in a season. His 1,065 run tally, which included centuries against Rowner (133), Fawley (151*) Calmore Sports II (122) and Langley Manor II (164*), predictably won him the County Division 3 South batting award. The 21-year old scored 7,433 runs in his Cadnam career, with 16 centuries. Hardy is joined at Loperwood Park by Liam Newton, an all-rounder from Warwickshire League club Kenilworth. |
