Tasmania prospect Tom Willoughby, who will be Bournemouth's overseas player in the ECB Southern Premier League this summer, cracked a career best 184 to steer his home town side South Hobart Sandy Bay Sharks into the island's Premier League Grand final.
Opening the batting, Willoughby lost two early partners, but went on to dominate the match, hitting 28 fours in chalking up his maiden hundred in senior club cricket. South Hobart went on to make a mammoth 421-8. Semi-final opponents Lindesfarne threw in the towel and didn't bat !
Willoughby made 22 in a high scoring final against New Town, SHSB seeing their 346 all out (Tom Andrews 130) overhauled, New Town winning by five wickets.
Bournemouth look to be in a good place for SPL and Hampshire League players this summer, with second team skipper Jonny Coombs awaiting the arrival of a South African pace bowler (who is moving to the UK shortly) to join another exciting youngster from Johannesburg whose family has already moved into the seaside town.
