Ben Woodhouse and Chris Russell shared an unbeaten 133-run partnership as Ventnor cruised to an eight-wicket ECB Royal London Cup first round win over Chichester Priory Park at Steephill.
The pair came together with Ventnor 29-2, chasing down Chichester’s 160, with Woodhouse striking a six and 14 fours in an unbeaten 76 and Russell making 62 not out, including 11 fours.
Earlier, Chichester fell away from 74-2 (Matt Bennison 58) to 160 all out, with Russell (4-18) and Toby Corbin (4-31) sharing eight of the wickets.
