Hook & Newnham Basics’ positive youth cricket development initiative has been rewarded with ten of their youngsters selected for next summer’s Hampshire junior county cricket squads and a further 12 in the North Hants District group.
Josh Balcombe, Alex Brown, Will Gardner and opening bat Harry Robson, pictured, have all been picked for the Hampshire Under-16/17 squad, with Will Wyatt in at Under-15 level.
Alex Campbell, Jack Gilbey, Ollie James and Max Simpson have got the nod at county Under-14 level, with Alex Corbett selected for the Under-12s.
The Hook selections are:
Hampshire Under-16/17: Alex Brown, Will Gardner, Harry Robson, Josh Balcombe.
Hampshire Under-15: Will Wyatt.
North Hants U15 District: Callum Doran, James Watterson, Charlie Bland
Hampshire U14: Alexander Campbell, Max Simpson, Ollie James, Jack Gilbey,
North Hants U14 District: Piers Armstrong.
North Hants U13 District: Harry Burleton.
Hampshire U12: Alex Corbett.
