Six Southern Premier League clubs face the prospect of having their immediate ECB Royal London Club Championship prospects decided by the toss of a coin.
Bashley (Rydal) (v Portsmouth), Totton & Eling (v Basingstoke & North Hants) and Ventnor (v Waterlooville) were all due to host already delayed national first round cup ties on Sunday – but with grounds waterlogged, their fate could be decided by a toss of a coin in the ECB offices at Lord’s.
Aldershot (who host Guildford) and Surrey Championship winners Normandy (at home to Potterne) are in the same boat .. literally !
Chichester Priory Park, Havant and Goatacre all successfully cleared the first round hurdle with victories and await the second round draw.
* The ECB has been asked if it is prepared to extend the first round play date until May 6 and a response is awaited.
