Teenage Hampshire leg spinner Mason Crane celebrated a second consecutive seven-wicket haul for his adopted Sydney Grade club, Gordon in the New South Wales Premiership cricket competition earlier today.
He took his overall winter wicket haul to a staggering 54 with a 7-116 return from a marathon 43-over haul against North Sydney at the Chatsworth Oval.
Crane had all seven of his victims caught as North  Sydney made 284-9 at stumps halfway through the two-day match.
The England Under-19 spin bowler has now taken 37 league wickets - comfortably the highest in the First Grade competition.
Hampshire team-mate Joe Weatherley, wintering in Adelaide, struck a career-best 220 for Woodville last Saturday - the first day of the South Australia Premiership match against Prospect.
But despite totalling a massive 419-2 declared, Woodville only won by one run !
Opener Sam Miller (148) and Sussex prospect Fynn Hudson-Prentice (140) put Prospect on course for an improbable victory at 291-1, but once their partnership was broken, the visitors lost nine wickets for 127 runs, losing by an agonising one run after being dismissed for 418.
Hampshire off-spinner Brad Taylor bowled an unrewarded ten overs for 28 runs.
