The Southern Premier League programme (and probably the Hampshire League too) was washed out for the second consecutive week. Round 12 (July 22) was cancelled without a ball being bowled, but at least three matches started today.
In the ECB Premier Division, the Hampshire Academy were 66-4 when play was abandoned after 90 minutes play, opener Miles Kantolinna 26 not out and Ryan Murray two wickets for table topping South Wilts. Some action photographs of this match will appear here later.
Portsmouth's Division One match on the Isle of Wight against Ventnor lasted only five overs - the visitors being 15-0 when the rains came, while at Privett Park Gosport Borough dipped to 42-4 against visiting Purbrook.
The other 17 matches were cancelled without a ball being bowled.
