Southern Premier League cricketer will be delighted to learn that the www.vimpsatthecrease.com cricket website, in conjunction with hosts Cricket-Hockey.com,, cricket/hockey specialists from Downton, near Salisbury, are to re-introduce the Divisional Cricketer of the Month awards, the first of which will be announced after the fourth round of matches next Saturday, May 25.
There will be individual awards for each of the four Southern Premier League divisions, the winner receiving an inscribed glass statuette (as shown), together with a £25 sports equipment voucher redeemable at Cricket-Hockey.com.
The awards will be open to all SPL recreational cricketers, but Tier 5 overseas players (who have played First Class cricket overseas) are not eligible.
It should be noted that these are not official Southern Premier League awards.
