ROUND 6: Emerging South Wilts seam bowler Matt Burton was named 'Cricketer of the Week’ for round six after routing St Cross Symondians with a career-best return of 6-45 which paved the way to his side’s 12-run victory over the then league leaders.
The 23-year old, who picked up another three victims at Lymington last weekend, has taken 17 first team wickets for South Wilts this season.
South Wilts head coach Tom Morton said: “Matt has had a great start to the season. “He is an immensely hard working lad that has steadily made progress over a number of years now.
“He’ll do his 30,000 steps a day at the St Marys football stadium, where he is a groundsman, then turn up to training and bowl 8 overs. His hard work has also earned a spot in the Wiltshire County 1st XI, where he has taken 9 wickets in his first 3 games, including a match-changing spell against Dorset at the weekend.”

ROUND 7: Newbury teenager Toby Albert was named Cricketer of the Week after cracking a super 151 to set up the Hampshire Academy’s 21-run victory over 2019 champions Bashley (Rydal).
The 19-year old right-hander, who cut his teeth on local cricket East Woodhay, hit two sixes and 22 fours in his highest SPL score.
Aiming for a professional contract at the Ageas Bowl, Albert has also done well for Hampshire in second team matches this season.
Albert, who has been with Hampshire's T20 Vitality Blast squad recently, is the fourth Academy batsman to make a 150-plus score in SPL cricket, following Tom Alsop (who has managed it on three separate occasions), Benny Howell (twice) and Ventnor raised Jacob George.

ROUND 8: It's proving quite a season for JACK BUDD, who (after round 10) was the leading batsman in the entire Southern Premier League, with 491 runs from eight innings, averaging a staggering 98.20
Pictured with his round 8 'Cricketer of the Week award, Budd made back-to-back hundreds in June, following up his 137 against Tichborne Park with 101 which proved a match winner for Langley Manor at Basingstoke & North Hants II. They were the first hundreds he had made in the SPL.
Despite the rain dogged summer, 2021 was comfortably been Budd's best season with the bat, easily surpassing the 342-run tally he made back in 2016.
Budd, whose father Rob played for Deanery and later Calmore Sports, has been a leading light for Langley Manor, who are pressing hard for promotion from Division 3 with key visits to Hook & Newnham Basics II and unbeaten leaders Hambledon looming this month.

ROUND 9: Josh Digby produced a fine all-round performance to underpin Bashley Rydal's three-wicket win over St Cross Symondians at the BCG, where the hosts chased down 224-8 to win.
Opening the bowling with his right-arm darts, Digby took 4-49 and later hit 60 to provide Bashley with the platform for their successful run chase.
