Henry Glanfield and Dan McGovern shared a century stand and teen James Restall bagged career best bowling figures as Hambledon maintained their 100 per cent record at the halfway stage of the Southern Premier League season.
Glanfield (90) and McGovern (87) put on 138 for the second wicket as unbeaten Division 3 leaders Hambledon amassed 247-8 against Basingstoke & North Hants 2nds at Ridge Meadow.
Glanfield was 10 runs short of his second SPL century in three innings, having previously hit 111 against Trojans.
For McGovern, who struck an unbeaten century on his Hambledon debut in a pre-season friendly against Bishop’s Waltham, it was his first SPL half-century for the club.
Glanfield, above, blasted six sixes and just three fours in his 62-ball knock, while McGovern struck nine fours and two sixes in a more sedate 94-ball innings.
Glanfield was eventually caught off the bowling off Keith Harris and McGovern was trapped leg before by Shantanu Shahane (4-37).
Restall then took centre stage as Basingstoke collapsed to 9-3 in reply. The Churcher's College ace removed Rakitha Perera, Josh Sivier and Callum Coombs all for ducks and eventually claimed a superb SPL best 5-28.
Glanfield (2-5) and Will Hardman (2-23) were also among the wickets as Basingstoke - an alarming 33-7 at one stage - limped to 92 all out with Shahane (34) top scoring after taking 4-37 with the ball.
It was Hambledon’s fifth straight win, with their other four matches having been rained off. They lead the table by 18 points, ahead of Saturday's Portsmouth & Southsea showdown in Brook Lane, 12.30.

Purbrook were skittled for less than 100 for the third time in the Southern Premier League this season.
The Division 3 cellar dwellers suffered a fifth successive loss when they were bowled out for 92 en route to a seven-wicket defeat against lofty Gosport Borough.
Opener Clark Harding (27) and Brad Mengham (10) were the only Purbrook batsmen in double figures as they lost seven wickets for 18 runs after reaching 74-3.
The team had previously been bowled out for 71 (against Basingstoke & North Hants) and 76 (against Waterlooville).
Spinner Jack Richards bagged 5-21, his best ever SPL figures for Gosport, while Scott Taylor took 3-32.
While Purbrook are embroiled in a battle to avoid relegation to the Hampshire League, Borough have moved into second place, 18 points behind Hambledon, whom they play at Privett Park on July 24.
Ollie Creal (31) and Jacob Harris (21 not out) took them to a fourth win in five matches.
Gosport only needed 15.3 overs to reach their victory target and they are now up to second behind 100 per cent table-toppers Hambledon.
