Burridge owed much to South African Hilio De Abreu and Dan Stancliffe for the 32-run win at New Milton, which kept them within eight points of South Wilts at the top of the ECB Southern Premier League.
The visitors were in some difficulty at 95-5 (Richard Lock 26) when De Abreu (57) was joined by Stancliffe [left] in a stand of 87, which checked Milton’s best performance of the season.
Despite still being unable to bowl due to on-going back problems, Stancliffe hit a six and ten fours in a key 76 and added more important runs with Rick Ankers (38) as Burridge reached 268-9.
Tom Arnold (92), eventually eighth out at 225, and Raff Hussey (55) eased Milton’s reply to 101-1, with the Green & Golds still in the contest at 194-4.
De Abreu (3-27) and Nic McMurray (4-33) broke through as New Milton finished with 236 all out, defeated for a ninth successive time but encouraged by a much improved performance.
