White ball cricket, complete with coloured clothing, black sightscreens and power plays, will make its bow in the ECB British Gas Southern League Premier Division on Saturday May 6 2017.
There will be four rounds of 50-over 'white ball' matches before the traditional all-day 'time' cricket begins its nine-week stint on June 3. 'White ball' cricket resumes (for the final five weeks of the season) on August 5, with the curtain falling on the season on September 2.
The entire SPL programme will be played over 18 Saturdays between May 6 and September 2, with games in Divisions 1, 2 and 3 all 50-over duration (using traditional white kit) starting at 1 o'clock.
The Hampshire League will also start on May 6 for 17 weeks, with the final set of fixtures on August 26.
