Cape Town all-rounder Hilio de Abreu chalked up his fifth half-century of the season and took his ECB Southern Premier Division run aggregate to 643 as Burridge pulled off a 29-run win over a weakened Hampshire Academy at Botley Road.
De Abreu [pictured] made an important 73 [out of a Burridge total of 173] after Hartley Wintney teenager Harry Broderick (3-20) had removed the top three and Ropley youngster Huw Wheeler had taken 4-34.
Sully White (3-18) hit back for Burridge as the Academy, weakened by the absence of seven regulars who had been playing in the ECB Under-17 Super 4s at Loughborough, dropped to 20-3.
Scott Currie (47) led an Academy fightback, which faltered against De Abreu, whose 3-34 return included his 29th SPL victim of the season.
