Alton, Bashley (Rydal), Basingstoke & North Hants and Bournemouth were all beaten in their final warm-up matches before the start of the ECB Southern Premier League on Saturday.
New Zealander Max Bacon took 6-48 as Surrey Championship side Weybridge posted 231-9 (Tom Bruce 125) before Alton responded with 204 all out, newcomer Ryan Covey making 70, Scott Myers 42 and Bacon 25.
Bashley (Rydal) went down by 17 runs at Normandy, whose 242-8 was built around Neal Priwse (73).
Two Bashley wickets fell for three runs immediately after tea, but Tim Taylor (50) and Michael Porter (30) rallied before Sam Kennett top scored with 64 and Mitch Wilson made 36. Bashley closed 227-9.
Basingstoke & North Hants were grateful Goatacre play on such a compact ground, otherwise the Wiltshire club’s 328-5, based around 132 from Jack Haines, would have been even larger.
Brad Neal (63) and Ben Thane (57) helped Basingstoke’s reply to 197 all out.
Bournemouth similarly suffered as Gordon Whorlow (97) and George Retter (83) opened with a 142-run opening partnership for hosts North Perrott (275-5).
Martin Miller (47) and Luke Webb (46) top scored in Bournemouth’s 192 all out.
Hook & Newnham Basics rattled up 257 against a weakened Sparsholt, with Richard Willcock (61) paving the way for Rhodes Franklin (48), Martyn James (38) and Will Gardner (35) to enjoy some productive middle practice.
Liam Doran took 4-37on his KGV return but Sparsholt slumped to 45-7 (James 3-21) before Stuart Taylor (47) gave their 130-9 some presence.
Alex Shephard’s 82 steered Waterlooville to a three-wicket win over Sarisbury Athletic, whose 208-9 was built around Josh Hill’s 92. Ashan Silva took 4-32.
Skittled for 57 at Cranleigh a week earlier, Liphook & Ripsley made an improved 216 at Camberley, where Rob Nicklin (46) and Andy Barnes (45) did well. But Camberley won by five wickets.
