This would normally be the last thing a cricket groundsman wants to see on a Friday evening - his outfield flooded on the eve of an important ECB Southern Premier League match. But it was a case of the groundsman's prayers being answered at South Wilts, where a tropical storm hit Bemerton and swamped the dry, parched ground, burned by the past month's hot sunshine. Within hours the ground had dried out and South Wilts got a pretty decent surface to play on against Bashley (Rydal) the next day. Pic Jon Williams.
