Trapping prolific Cape Town opener Mat Goles leg before off the first ball of the match provided Bashley (Rydal) with the perfect start to implement an eventual five-wicket win over Burridge at the Fagan Field.
Goles had scored 329 in his six previous innings this season, starting with 147 against the Hampshire Academy, but he was rapped on the pads by a low bouncing ball from Dan Goodey (3-42) and umpire supreme Denis Emery sent him packing.
Joe Collings-Wells was bowled soon after by the Devonian, but left-hander Jack Paskins (24) played some nice shots, as did Nathan Schoultz (42), to revive the visitors' fortunes.
But a five-wicket spell by Josh Digby (5-36) ripped out the entire Burridge middle-order, wickets falling regularly, the final two to teenager Finn Gordon (2-31), including Will Donald (23).
Bashley lost openers Will Tripcony and Goodey at 20, but a maiden SPL half-century by Gordon, fresh from completing his GCSEs at Clayesmore, pointed the New Forest club to victory.
The talented 16-year old shared a decisive 86-run stand with Michael Porter (39), who led Bashley to a second consecutive victory.
