DO OR DIE CRUNCH MATCH FOR HURSLEY PARK ON WATERSIDE

11/8/2017

Last chance saloon day beckons for Hursley Park, who face almost certain relegation to the Hampshire League if they lose their Division 3 basement battle with Fawley at Holbury.
Already 26 points short of safety, Hursley must repeat their Quarters win over the Oilmen in June if they are to avoid the drop.
Former Fawley opener Paul Marks hit an unbeaten half-century in Hursley’s four-wicket win that afternoon and will be anxious to hit form again.  Fawley lie third from bottom.
Fawley: C Earl, A Parratt, B Parratt, K Earl, Leach, Smith, Bryers, Brown, Nason, Freeman, Coxall.
Second from bottom Alton will drop deeper into the mire if they lose to leaders Basingstoke & North Hants II at May’s Bounty, where the hosts enjoy an 18-point cushion at the top.
Basingstoke II: Chandler, Oliver, K Harsham, Coombs, Oates, Dyer, Bucksey, Deadman, Parera, Smith, Harris.
Bashley (Rydal) II can press their claims for a potential promotion place if they win at Waterlooville, who lie ten points ahead of them in the log.
Portsmouth & Southsea, eight points clear at the top of County Division 1, face a tricky away day at OTs & Romsey, but promotion rivals Lymington II and Longparish will each expect to win.  Lymington visit neighbours New Milton, while Longparish host St Cross Symondians III.
