The Dorset Cricket Society is set to be 'blessed' at its first meeting of the new year on Thursday (January 16) when Rev Andrew Wingfield-Digby is the guest speaker.
A former Dorset Minor Counties cricketer, Andrew has been Chaplain to the England cricket team. He still plays regularly for Oxfordshire Over-60s.
Guest speaker on Thursday January 23 is ECB Cricket Operations Manager Alan Fordham, who (inter alia) has the unenviable task of compiling the county fixture list each year !
Meetings are at the Christchurch Football Club, Hurn Bridge, starting at 1.45pm. New members are always welcome, £3 per week.
