Parley pair Harrison Clarke and Owen Morris hit centuries and Ollie Shrubsole produced a career-best bowling spell, but Dorset still couldn’t manage to squeeze a victory out of their Specsavers Under-17 County Championship match against Berkshire at Wokingham.
Centurions Clarke (138) and Morris (105) shared a 188-run third wicket stand for Dorset, who posted a towering 419-3, with Frank Turrill making 51. Despite New Milton off-spinner Shrubsole taking 7-73, Berkshire forced a draw at 313-9.
Dorset’s next match is against the Isle of Wight at Bryanston School on Tuesday week, July 26.
