St Cross Symondians are strengthened by the return of Holland all-rounder Logan van Beek for the ECB British Gas Southern Premier Division visit to revitalised South Wilts, who have won their last two matches.
Van Beek, pictured above, has been on International duty in the Netherlands, enjoying triple successes in Holland’s three ODIs against Zimbabwe and scoring an unbeaten 64 in the first Dutch win at Amstelveen.
The Dutch all-rounder is a key cog in the St Cross wheel, having made 280 league runs and taken 14 wickets so far this term.
Captain’s all-rounder brother Harry Foyle is drafted in to replace Guernsey’s Matt Stokes.
South Wilts were stuttering and bereft of confidence until they defended 97 and won at New Milton – a result which sparked the dressing room and led to a massive 151-run thrashing of title holders Havant last weekend.
Jack Mynott makes a permanent return for South Wilts now his school commitments at Christ’s Hospital are complete.
South Wilts: Wade, Cowley, Holland, Hayward, Draper, Mynott, Arnold, Hibberd, Evans, Warner, Murray.
St Cross Symondians: Tom Foyle, Harry Came, Logan Van Beek, Asher Hart, Robbie Hadfield, Harry Foyle, Jack Bransgrove, Charlie Ayres, Brad Aldridge, Tabs Farooq
Alton, who have won three of their last five matches, have leg spinner Jack Myers back for the visit of Burridge to the Jubilee Ground. Dan Evans hit a maiden 129 in last week’s defeat by the Hampshire Academy
Alton: Janmohamed, Hammond, Harris, S Myers, Mike Heffernan, Mark Heffernan, Postles, Jamison, J Myers, Mortimer, Ballinger.
New Milton can virtually make themselves safe with a win over visiting Andover, who are stranded at the Premier Division basement.
The Green & Golds, heartened by last weekend’s stirring late fightback to force a draw at St Cross Symondians, are currently 45 points better off than the 2016 Division 2 champions.
Toby Edwards and Matt Freeman miss the game, while skipper Matt Hooper returns for Andover alongside Stu Tognarelli, who has transferred from Sparsholt.
New Milton: R Beck, L Beck, D Loader, G Watts, J Haggaty, R Hussey, A Hussey O Shrubsole, D Wakefield, N Gargaro, T Arnold.
Andover: Hooper, Green, Arnold, Treagus, Karunatatne, Tognarelli, Watson, Knight, Blackburn, Foy, Adams
