Kieran Earl hit his maiden Southern Premier League century for Fawley, but was able to pilot the oilmen to victory over Division 3 rivals Bashley (Rydal) II, who won by 15 runs at the BCG.
Earl carried his bat for 102 as Fawley finished adrift of Bashley’s 228-5, an innings based around Alex Turner’s 69 and a handy 38 not out from Simon Ridley before tea.
Kumodak Sharma (25) and Andy Parratt (25) took Fawley to a threatening 194-4, but a frantic finish saw Ridley take 3-42 and the last three Fawley batsmen run themselves out.
Former King Edward VI left-armer Gregor McKenzie took 5-36 as Fair Oak (134) clung on to beat hosts Hambledon by five runs.  Promoted Lymington II enjoyed an easy 98-run win over Havant II, Purbrook  v Gosport Borough was cancelled, unfit ground.
