Hampshire Academy pair Fletcha Middleton and Tom Prest have been selected for the second phase of England Under-19 North v South regional matches at Loughborough University this weekend.
The duo produced encouraging batting performances in the second innings of a two-day match last weekend, Middleton’s half-century providing the platform for a successful South run chase. Prest hit 44. The matches on Saturday and Sunday are 50-over affairs.
Even though the weather has turned distinctly autumnal, the Academy are playing for a final time this weekend, with Surrey YCs the visitors to Totton & Eling’s Southern Gardens for 10.30am starts on Saturday and Sunday. Shaun Lilley and Paul Sparshott will officiate.
