Fourteen-year old Bashley (Rydal) spin starlet Ethan Baker took 8 for 15 to send Hythe & Dibden crashing from 71-1 to 99 all out - and an eventual nine-wicket defeat - in the Southern Premier League Cup at the BCG.
The Hounsdown schoolboy came on third change with Hythe opener Tom Gates (54) leading from the front.
Foxing the batsmen with his cunning flight and extracting bounce and turn off the pitch, Baker removed skipper Tom Richards, Gates and Fabio Roberts in quick succession as Hythe tumbled from 71-1 to 74-4 and soon after 80-6 - the Hampshire Under-14s leggie taking five wickets in a row.
Baker, who cut his teeth in cricket as an eight-year old with Bramshaw and marked his adult second team debut for Bashley with three wickets against Fareham & Crofton last August, didn't stop there and snapped up three more victims, all clean bowled, to finish with extra-ordinary eight-over figures of 8-15 - six of those runs coming in wides !
Simon Watkins came on to take the tenth wicket and leave Hythe & Dibden 99 all out.
It took Bashley 19 overs to polish off the target, Jacob Gordon hitting nine fours in his 52 not out and skipper Patrick Lewis unbeaten with 26.
With overnight leaders Trojans crashing to a heavy defeat at OTs & Romsey, Bashley now top the Division 2/3 West group table ahead of next Saturday's showdown with Fair Oak, who have also won all their games.
