Former Burridge batsman Jordan Silk and Bashley (Rydal) all-rounder Tom Andrews played low key roles as an emerging Cricket Australia XI thrashed the West Indies tourists by ten wickets at Brisbane's Allan Border Field.
Silk, whose career has really taken off since his rain soaked summer stint at Burridge several seasons ago, made 21 opening the batting for CA, who made 444 after bowling the West Indies out for 243.
Andrews, who Bashley hope to re-engage in 2016, hit a lively 33 towards the end of the innings. The slow left-armer went wicketless in both WI innings, but took two catches. The WI made 210 second time around.
Andrews is playing Grade cricket for South Australia champions Woodvale, alongside Hampshire's Joe Weatherley.
