Suman Ganguly roars past umpire Dave Wright [Farnham Herald]
All-rounder Suman Ganguly is set to make his first appearance of the season for Liphook & Ripsley in Sunday’s opening Village Cup national round tie against Cookham Dean, the Thames Valley League leaders, at Ripsley Park, 1pm.
Liphook are virtually at full strength for what promises to be a demanding tie against the Berkshire village winners, who have enjoyed a fine start to the TVL season.
Liphook are laying on a 50” television screen so soccer fans can watch England’s World Cup tie against Panama and follow the cricket at the same time.  Full bar and refreshment facilities will be available.
Liphook & Ripsley: Ryan Covey, Rob Nicklin, Harry Munt, Suman Ganguly, Ric Williams, Grant Rouse,  George Neave, Jamie Hall, Sean Burton, Charles Janczur, Dave Elliot.
Hampshire League County Division 1 side Shrewton also face top table opposition, with West of England Gloucestershire/Wiltshire feeder league side Marshfield lining up against them on neutral ground at Westbury CC.
Rowledge travel into West Sussex to play 2007 Lord’s finalists Findon at Long Furlong – their opponents lie third in Sussex League Division 3 West.
Rowledge: R Yates, S Martin, M Martin, Lloyd, J Wish, B Wish, Moseley, Randall, Baker, Ryman, Wheatley.
