Veteran left-armer Dan Goldstraw is set to come out of retirement and play for Sarisbury Athletic in Calmore Sports’ crucial Southern League Division 1 clash at Loperwood Park.
Goldstraw had intended to hang up his boots at the end of last season, but was persuaded to play by Matt Journeaux before the SA skipper flew off to Dubai this week.
“It’s time to throw the title race wide open,” said Journeaux before he left.
“We’re more than capable of causing an upset – provided we all fire on the same day.”
Calmore Sports: Lavelle, Cook, Johns, Manning, Rutter, Proudley, Rose, Perry, Pegler, West, Croft.
Sarisbury Athletic: Rawlins, Floyd, Dunn, Bond, Lovett, J Hill, Wright, Freemantle, Goldstraw, S Hill, Jewell.

Basingstoke moved up to second place last weekend, keeping the pressure on leaders Calmore Sports after a 20-run win at Bournemouth. The gap between the top two is 19 points with three games left of the season.
The Bountymen will hope to sign off their home campaign with a victory, but have a tricky game as Portsmouth are the visitors.  The Pompey side have run hot and cold this season, but beat Basingstoke in the reverse fixture back in June.
The Bountymen make one change to the side which won at Bournemouth as Richard Vinn is unavailable and spin king Matt Thankachan comes back in the line-up.
Basingstoke captain Stokes said: “It will be a tough game and we are taking nothing for granted we just want to tick off another game ahead of our final two games away.”
After this the Bountymen are away at bottom side Tichborne Park, before a trip to local rivals Hook and Newnham Basics.
So there is still everything to play for with the title securing the only promotion place.
Hook & Newnham Basics host relegation threatened Rowledge, who are still without Steve Martin. Oli Baker is called up.
Hook: Ben Thane, Josh Buckingham, Matthew Buckingham, Matthew Love, Kieran Thomson, Nick Willcock, Shane Brewer, Aniket Divecha, Rupert Armstrong, Kevin Poulter, Rhodes Franklin.
Rowledge: Morant, J Wish, Treble, Plater, O Baker, Metcalfe, Lloyd, B Wish, Randall, Keeley, C Yates.
