Matt Metcalfe’s bid to win the British Gas Southern Premier Division bowling award for a fifth time in eight seasons is under threat.
He went into Lymington’s penultimate match of the season against Burridge leading the wicket-taking field with 33 victims.
But ever-improving South Wilts seamer Luke Evans took the field at Havant only two wickets behind, with 31.
Overseas cricketers, ineligible for the end-of-season awards, lead four of the individual prize winning categories, among them Australian batting pair Patrick Page and Tom Treble, with Bashley (Rydal) and Rowledge, respectively.
