Hook & Newnham Basics and Odiham & Greywell have confirmed their places in Basingstoke's long standing Guy Jewell Cup, which was cancelled last year due to the pandemic.
Hook bounced back from their Southern Premier Division thrashing at Bournemouth to beat Old Basing by eight wickets - Matt Buckingham (50) and Sam Lockwood (42*) guiding them past OB's 125-8. Darren Turner (37) top scored, while Shane Brewer took 4-32.
Odiham & Greywell made 153-3 (Walsh-Smith 77*) to beat East Woodhay's 138 (Tom Flack 49).
Cup holders Hartley Wintney begin their trophy defence against Rotherfield Park at May's Bounty next Monday (June 21), with Basingstoke & North Hants set to lock horns with Hook B on an evening to be confirmed.
